I fell on my arse twice, so you know, the hurting is understandable. Yas, Drew and I went skating on Sunday! I... yeah, fell about 7 times. So every thing from the knee up hurts! I'm awesome like that. But Drew and I were kinda getting by the end! It was pretty fun really. And so glad when one of the officials came over when I fell the first time. She told us how to properly skate and omg so much easier. So definitely taking a lesson next time. Also, Dad didn't exactly HELP every time we went past. "Let go of the barrier!" "Go free skate!" NO, YOU PSYCHOPATH. I swear to God, he thought everyone else had just SHOWED UP that day for the first time, too. Never mind the fact that most of them had probably been skating for years. Jesus. Kept distracting me so I fell on my arse. Next time, I swear to God, I'll just take the train. I don't care if it'll take over an hour. Really don't care.

Of course, then something crawled up his ass and died and he was in a shit mood Monday and today. Bastard. Kept picking crap fights with Mum, no yelling, but Mum was getting high pitched on the phone and I got woken up after FIVE HOURS SLEEP. Ugh. That fucking sucked. And I couldn't get back to sleep. So yeah. Shitty wake up.

ANYWAY. I'm kind of looking forward to going skating again. Aside from the falling, of course, but even then, wasn't as bad as I thought. I'm just amazed I could stand in the damn skates. I walked and everything too! I was amazed. Especially amazed by the fact I got out on the ice with so many people. I almost had a panic attack when I realised just how many people when I got home. I couldn't believe it. I think I was stunned for most of the night I had the balls to even do it, with my knees and all. I'm so proud of myself!

So yeah, I'm gonna finish watching Dancing with the Stars and nurse my wounds, because I have to work tomorrow. Studying would probably be a good idea at some point too. I suppose.

My knees are totally fine! If a little bruised, of course. I'm really happy about that, too. That they're fine, I mean. *relieved*

Good, I know you had joint problems, whatcha do, grow out of it? >:) I get the impression skating is hard on knees. EVERYTHING is hard on my knees. *hugs*

Heh, two knee surgeries helped! But yeah, I'm just super careful about what I do and I'm trying to strengthen the muscles I need to stop it happening. I'd love if I just grew out of it, but I have to watch them constantly. My knee specialist said just walking is hard on my knees, so I figured, what the hell? Though, it actually did help the muscles so, yay! I'm thinking about starting dancing too. Hopefully, because we did something about it early, it'll pay off later. *hugs back*

Take care with those knees, now. I've learned that I did more damage USING them, especially when they hurt. I had to have a cortisone shot a couple of months ago. They're much better since, but still heat up if I walk too much. :( When I go shopping I look for those riding carts! LOL

Oh, trust me, I do. I'm always paranoid about them, which sucks, but I'd rather be paranoid then in pain. Well, my specialist said I should do more exercise to an extent, because it's more a muscular thing for me. The muscles aren't strong enough to stop my knees from dislocating. But two surgeries and rehab has helped with that... problem is I also have a really shallow groove where my kneecap sits, so that's the other part. It sucks but it's been better. AND I need to be careful with my weight, otherwise it'll put more pressure on them and completely wreck them. So need to find a balance you know?

YES! It helps a LOT. Both skating AND my knees! The muscles I need to strengthen are... yeah... They know what they're talking about!
