Sigh

You'd think I'd have learnt by now. I'm checking my email and for some reason I actually read some of the discussion on the SamJack17 list. *headdesk* So. Painful. I should have listened to what [livejournal.com profile] lyssie and [livejournal.com profile] meyerlemon were saying back when they were first posted. Gah, now I have more reason to be annoyed at Telkena. Jack and Kerry slept together! Probably a lot! As did Sam and Pete! Who cares if Jack and Kerry were dressed. It is actually possible that they had a shower and got dressed afterwards. Who wants to go to bed sticky? Really? Sex with someone you're in a realtionship with? Is not a frakking crime! (Unless the word no is involved but I'm not getting back into that.)

And as much as it pains me to admit it, Janet would not have encouraged Sam and Jack to get together. She's career military, as well, you know. Those regulation things applied to her, too. Remember 100 Days? She asked Sam if it was going to be a problem that she missed Jack. Doesn't sound very approving, does it? *palmface* She may have understood in the later season, but she wouldn't have encouraged them to break the rules.

People's stupidity shits me.

EDIT: Shit, I thought one of the guys on RoboCop looked like Kinsey. I just checked and it is Kinsey! And he's evil again! And Red from That 70s Show! *ded from glee*

Yes, exactly! I hate stories where Janet takes on the Mary Sue role and encourages Sam and Jack to say screw the regs and get together. *sigh* Janet knew full well the consequences of it; she'd never have encouraged Sam to deep six her career like that.

I am, otoh, preaching to the choir here. :)

I know! I have read them and enjoyed them, but that was before I came to terms with the fact that Janet, career Air Force doctor/officer, wouldn't encourage a fellow Air Force officer to destroy her career like that. It took a while for that to sink in... :P

Now, anyway. ;)

Dude. Janet would be the one telling her, "Sam, this is a bad idea." or, "Sam, transfer the fuck out of his command."

And I would've said that on-list but, er, the stupid hurt too much.

Janet is the last person who would be trying to 'get them together'...

YES. Exactly. This is why I should always listen to you. You're always right (or at least vastly amusing if you're wrong).

Total;ly understandable. Really.

For so many reasons... And, funnily enough, most of those reasons apply to Daniel and Teal'c, too! Imagine that.

*points* What she said. Even if she did like the concept of the two of them together, and as cute as it would be for her to play cupid I don't think she'd do it.

*nods* She has morals and principles. It'd be violating a couple of oaths she took, too. (I think.)

Yeah. If O'Neill was retired, or Sam wasn't under his command for some other reason I bet most of the base would support it, but as long as there's rules...there's rules.

Oh, most definitely. I still maintain that there are betting pools, anyway.

Yeah, though after Threads/Moebius I bet whoever had the date they went fishing was busting his/her ass to prove that they won.

Daniel...evil? Can't see it. Sam and Jack are the evil ones. Daniel's all cute and sweet and nice. I can't imagine him plotting and scheming anymore than I can imagine Jack talking respectfully to his higher-ups.

From: [identity profile] livilla.livejournal.com
Heh, no way, man! Daniel's the subtle kind of evil. Especially after he descended. He wasn't really evil before that... But Sam? Definitely evil. She's cute so you don't see it happening.

o ok...haven't seen too many of the descended eps, but I still have a hard time picturing him ever being too devious.

You gotta see the descended eps. Way amusing.

*sigh Not on Stargate...

But see, while Janet's a friend, she's also an Air Force officer. So there's a lot of conflict there. Her encouragement would be "Transfer off his team" not "Jump your commanding officer in an alley!"

Heh, that would have been funny if you watched, say, Threads with him.

I know you like being sarcastic. It's one of the reasons I think you rock. I love sarcasm, too. I just had to remind myself and not give in to the matchmaker Janet plot bunny. *shudder* Just no.

It does. It really does. *<3 sarcasm*

(I'll be good! I will not sink to that level. *determined*

(You really should. And you ca calmly point out errors in his rant and it's just so much more amusing. You don't even have to be right! Yay for liking BSG! Everyone should.)

I thought the same thing!

"OMG THAT'S KINSEY! ...Is it Kinsey?"

*checks with brother who, despite (claiming to) not watching 'Gate that much, still knows who Kinsey is (probably cos I hate him)* "Yes, Shannon, that's Kinsey."

Me: "Eeeeeeeeeee!"

I would seriously be freaked out if Kinsey was ever in a not!evil role. It would be too weird. I caught this other sci fi flick (something about mines, and mutants, and the outside being a bad bad place that makes eyes go HUGE AND BLACK AND POP!) and I think he was in it. As a bad guy.

Hahahahahahahahah! Fangirl Great minds think a like! And that conversation is really quite funny.

I've actually seen him as a normal, non-evil guy. Briefly, but he was there! I was definitely amazed. Ronny Cox is so awesome.

Whoo! More thinkage alike! Hehehe. And thanks. I think. My brother and I have strange convos.

...Wow. WOW. Not!Evil!Ronny! It's a miracle.

I like him. He seems cool. And he really made me hate Kinsey and want him GONE. And not in the good-hate way like McKay when he was SG1. Ir eally wanted him GONE.

Which is strange.

Hee, obviously. My brother and I can have odd ones, too.

It really is. He seems to excel at the bad guys.

Yeah, I like him, too. The rest of the SG cast rave and gush about him; they love him. My brother wanted Kinsey gone, too. He wanted to kick him in the balls. Which I was all for until he repeats that he wanted to kick him in the balls for the 8th time. Blah.

Very strange.

Must be the hair. Or nose. Or something.

Eight times? Dude, that's excessive. Old Man Kinsey'd probably be dead from the pain by then. If, you know, he wasn't already dead.

He did die right?
