Did she just-

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Can someone please, please explain to me how it's frakking possible that Professor McGonagall, could be pregnant while Harry Potter is in 5th year? No, really. I want to know. Because, witch or no, it's not gonna happen. It's simple biology, people!

And I thought the Stargate and BSG fandoms took great leaps of logic.

*snickers* I forgot how much I missed Harry Potter fanfiction.

Dude. You nearly gave me a heart attack. I read and grew shocked... and then I got to the end of your post. Whew. That would have just been so wrong!

Yes. Yes, it would have been. What's more scary is that there are people out there who think it's possible. Just because they're magical or in an alternate sci fi universe... *shudder*

*pets* I know, dear, I know. I figured there'd be a couple of people on my list who new the pain.

(I don't know why. But I bet I can make millions of dollars trying to figure out what's in their heads that tells them "That could so work!")

(Yeah, I know. There's like a slim possiblity that it could happen in that universe. But still - not even magic can overcome that many biological certainties...)

Oh, that's true. *shudder* Stupid 14 year old fangirls. (I don't know if it was actually them, but it's always fun to blame them and ignore the fact that I used to be one.)

Look, I don't care how magical someone is, they still have the same organs! *sigh* But that would be using Earth logic in fandom. Silly me.

I left when the ship wars got to ridiculous proportions. Bleh.

*sigh* I know. Definitely, silly me! I was probably just blinded by shock or something. :P

That's slightly disturbing, yeah.

(Aw, man! I missed the funny ones! What a rip off. :P I miss my sanity. It was nice.)

Man I KNEW there was a reason I only ever read Harry/Hermione *coughSMUTcough*.

*shudders* there's too many pairings out there for their own good. And surely very sick. *wonders if the kids actors read the fan fic.*

Date: 2005-04-14 07:01 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] livilla.livejournal.com
Yeah, you'd think I'd have learnt by now. STICK WITH THE H/HR SMUT! Duh.

Especially in the HP fandom. But you gotta admit, Dumbledore/McGonagall just scream backstory.

Well, I seriously doubt the HP kids read fanfic (they'd be scarred for life!). But the SG cast does. *snerk* Hell, even Amanda's mum reads fic! She's a S/J shipper!

From: [identity profile] twilight-mash.livejournal.com
You kids never learn! (although am tempted on the whole OT3 H/HR/R thing).

Oh yeah! From the very first moment I saw them together in the first movie...yup...total backstory.

Yeah you're probably right.

Lol...you told me before they did.

*dies* REALLY? Oh man that's great!

Date: 2005-04-15 11:01 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] livilla.livejournal.com
I made an icon with an OT3 kinda slant, because the ship wars were vastly annoying. And if photobucket were working, I could show you!

Totally. It's still there in the books. Just not as noticeable. I have such weird taste.

Ooh, yay!

I did? Eh *shrug*.

I know! So very cool.

I saw! And I saved! VERY cool.

Well...if the wife of a CBS exec can save M*A*S*H...then Amanda's mum can save the shipp.

Or so I like to think.

Oh, goody! *grin* Well, you know what happens when I snap...

Woohoo! Yeah!

One can hope...

From: [identity profile] twilight-mash.livejournal.com
Lol...yeah...I do.

Oh yes...and I've said it before and i'll say it again...I hope this is the last season of SG-1. Sure: there can be a gazillion crossovers with Atlantis...hell someone could even JOIN Atlantis (I know the whole ZPM thing)...but you know. Jack's gone...it's like if M*A*S*H had a 12th season.

BAD.

From: [identity profile] livilla.livejournal.com
Hee, yes. Well... :P

*sigh* Me too. I've already seen Sam/Ben Browder's character icons. So I'm a little paranoid and FREAKING OUT. It's just going to be painful at time, you know. *sniffle* Gonna miss RDA muchly.

*sigh*

From: [identity profile] twilight-mash.livejournal.com
You...icons...paranoid?!

*freaks out badly*

As I said before: first impressions. And BB's character impression: pure HATRED. This is not going to be a fun season.

*cries* me too. It's like they lost a limb. Stupid people.

From: [identity profile] livilla.livejournal.com
Oh dear... Oops. Didn't mean to scare you as well.

*sigh* I don't know what to think anymore. Just going to Wait and See.

*sniff* I know. You can function without limbs but not the same as before.

From: [identity profile] twilight-mash.livejournal.com
*sigh* I'd rather know beforehand.

Hopefully, now Jack's no longer in direct command over Sam...he can directly command her in...other ways *snickers*

*pouts* It's not fair. If they said for sure this was the last season...I reckon RDA woulda stayed. Then again...season 8 would have been a fantastic end to the show (as many people believe that it started to jump the shark once Janet/Hammond left). AND it left opportunity for movies!

Date: 2005-04-20 03:41 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] livilla.livejournal.com
Yeah, I know... *sigh* Wish we could.

*snicker* That so goes both ways. (Like we don't know who'd wear the pants in that relationship.)

*nods* It's possible. The end of season 8 had some of the best episodes in the entirety of the run. I hope they don't screw it up. *sniff* I miss Janet and George.

Coincidentally, the Undertaker's theme music came on my playlist as I replied to this. His music is the death march, by the way. Ironic much?

*SNERK*

Oh, yes. HP fandom certainly has a very high wankage level.

Date: 2005-04-14 07:02 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] livilla.livejournal.com
So very high levels. And I thought the ship wars were hard to believe and traumatising.

yeah, k, that does defy one or two laws of biology...but I've heard more than one news report of 60-year-olds getting preggers and having kids.

Date: 2005-04-15 11:02 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] livilla.livejournal.com
One or two, yeah... However. Those 60 year olds had help (IVF, surrogates, that kinda thing), in this fic... uh, yeah, not so much. *shudder*

From: [identity profile] livilla.livejournal.com
Yeah, but thankfully, it was only implied. You think I'd be reading it if it was more than implied? *shudder* I'm not that sick yet.

(I hope... I already read Adama/Roslin in BSG.)

Is that the wrinkly!otp? Just be glad you don't watch soap operas where you have to actually witness the wrinklage.

From: [identity profile] livilla.livejournal.com
Adama/Roslin? Yes, it is. But it's so cute, damn it!

*shudder* God, I feel fortunate. Soaps are teh eval.

The one I watch is quite funny...until the wrinkly people start doing it, and then it's kinda scary and weird.

From: [identity profile] livilla.livejournal.com
*shudder* That's just... wrong.

Date: 2005-04-17 03:52 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] sparkleferret.livejournal.com
Yeah...but remember a large fanbase of the soaps is old retired ladies and stay-at-home mommies. They think that kind of thing is not only watchable but enjoyable.

Date: 2005-04-20 03:38 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] livilla.livejournal.com
Hmm. This is true. Oh, and don't forget pregant ladies. They have wacky hormones.

My Mum watched soaps when she was pregant with me. And possibly my brother. There's 3 1/2 years between us. I honestly don't think she missed much.

From: [identity profile] sparkleferret.livejournal.com
I dunno...a lifetime of watching soaps and hanging out with the other stay-at-home mommies doesn't sound too awful to me when compared with pencil-pushing and number-crunching at some suckass office job.

Hmm. This is true. Very true. And there's always the watching of DVDs.
