Alan Alda has quite a mouth on him, you know. And his favourite curse word is "horse". *dies* When he was asked that question, he said one day he just said "*long string of cursing*" and randomly added "horse" and since then, it's been his favourite curse. Isn't that awesome? We were watching an Inside The Actor's Studio with him, and he's just brilliant. He can keep the straightest face while telling a joke.
So, finally saw Star Wars on Saturday. Holy frak, it was awesome. I sat there, staring in awe through half of it. The fight scenes were just awesome. Anakin's ( spoilers )
Then on Sunday, Nan and I saw The Lion King at the Capitol Theater (Hannah, let me know if that's the right or wrong spelling). It was so cool! They all had great voices, the puppetry was amazing and the costumes were beautiful. The make up was gorgeous, too. I loved the music. It was mostly just vocals and percussion, with the orchestra occasionally coming in. It was definitely unlike anything I've ever seen. My favourite scene was where Simba sees Mufasa's spirit and he tells him to remember. It was enthralling. The background was just black and they reflected light back onto it (like from a mirror ball) so it looked like stars. Then during the song, you could see shapes moving in the lights and when they were put together, they made Mufasa's face. It was so cool. And the chorus stood at the sides and held lights under their faces, so you could only see their heads. They were wearing black so it looked like they were floating. It was just awesome. Nan and I were so impressed by the singing. Just, wow. And then I got a t-shirt afterwards that says "I'm surrounded by idiots." and had a picture of Scar on it. It's always been my favourite line so I just couldn't pass it up.
But it's been so cold lately so I had to get my big black jacket, with the faux fur lining out. Damn weather.
Going back to school tomorrow. *sigh* I don't kind but I don't exactly trust the idiots who run my school. Since I've been legitimately sick, I haven't done any work and my teacher's telling me that I need to hand it in, isn't exactly freaking helpful. Ah well. I don't care if they give me zero. It's not my damn fault. And I'm sick of being treated like it is.
*sigh* I'm cold. I think I'll have a shower then quietly stress out about tomorrow. Four periods, I can so do it. Hrm.
